Legal and Privacy
On this page you will find information on what Eclipse does, what data it uses, why it uses it, who else can view it, and how to delete it. We have tried to keep it in plain words. If anything here is not clear, please do ask us — there is an address at the bottom of the page where you can ask us more questions or request more information or documents.
What we hold about you, and why
This is what any session with Eclipse uses
- Your name, and how to reach you by email. This is so we can keep your session secure, and so that if you ever need to re-enter Eclipse you can do so easily. It is also so you can access any of your records and change your plan details.
- Your birth details — date, time and place. This is the whole of what your Fractal Mapping Chart is created from. The time is optional; nothing breaks without it, and having your time of birth makes the chart more accurate.
- What you tell us about your health and how you feel. This is the substance of the work.
- Your sessions. What was said, and Eclipse's notes. It is how Eclipse knows you between visits instead of starting over every time. It is also how Eclipse knows what to work on.
- Your tongue photographs, if you use the tongue tracker. They are read as a trend across weeks — one picture is a moment, several pictures create a trend that can be used to assess what is working for you, and what is not.
- Your payments, which are handled by Stripe. We never see your card, and we cannot charge it without you authorising Stripe to do that.
Eclipse is a companion guide. It is not a doctor, and it has not been trained to do medical diagnosis.
Therefore it cannot diagnose, and it cannot decide, advise or tell you anything about your care. Any health matters must be discussed between you and your doctor.
How long we keep it
Ninety days, and then it is gone
If you stop using Eclipse, your sessions, notes and photographs are kept for ninety days after your last visit, and then deleted. Backups clear ten days later.
But you do not have to wait for us:
- Download everything, whenever you like, yourself — no request and no permission needed.
- Ask us to delete it early, and it goes, with an email to confirm it has gone.
- We email you before the ninety days are up — twice, in plenty of time. Nothing disappears without you being told first.
Nothing you give us is ever sold. Not to anyone, for any reason.
Who else touches it
Four services, and what each does for your session
- Mistral AI (European Union) — the language model that writes Eclipse's words. What is said in a session goes to it so Eclipse can answer. It is configured never to train on your data.
- Gradium — the voice. It turns your speech into text so our AI can process it, and then turns that text back into speech so you can hear Eclipse's reply. It holds none of your data — it only carries your words through, and keeps nothing of your session.
- Stripe — payments. They hold your card details; we never see them.
- Oracle Cloud — the servers Eclipse runs on.
Health information is treated as special by law, and we treat it that way in practice: we ask your explicit permission before any analysis is run, and we keep the paperwork that proves we asked.
Your rights, one line each
You are in charge of it
- See it — download it yourself, any time.
- Correct it — tell us and we fix it.
- Delete it — tell us and it is gone within a few days.
- Object to a use of it — tell us, and we stop that use.
- Take it with you — download it yourself and hand it to anyone you like.
- Complain — to your national data protection authority. We would rather you came to us first, but it is your right and it is not conditional on that.
The documents behind all of this
If you want the detail
Everything above is a summary. These are the full documents. Read whichever ones matter to you — and if one you want is not listed as readable, ask and we will send it.
Client privacy notice
The plain-language notice: what we hold, why we hold it, who else touches it, how long we keep it, and your rights. The one to read if you only read one.
Terms of Service
The agreement between you and us — what Eclipse is and is not, what you pay, our guarantee, and how a plan can be changed or stopped.
Everything we hold about anyone
The complete list of every kind of information Eclipse holds, why it is held, who it is shared with, and how long it is kept.
How your information moves
A step-by-step map of where your information goes during a session, which services touch it at each step, and where it does and does not leave our control.
Available on request
These are our internal working documents. They are not secret — they simply are not written to be read off a page. Ask, and we will send you the one you want.
What could go wrong, and what we did about it
The risk assessment of the voice sessions and the analysis pipeline — the risks that come with health data and AI, and the safeguard put in place for each one.
Why we may hold health information at all
The legal basis we rely on to process health information, and why we ask your explicit permission before any analysis is run.
How we vetted the companies that touch your data
What we verified before letting Mistral AI and Gradium near client data — including the settings that stop your data training a model, and the request for EU-only servers for your voice.
